Highbush Cranberries, Taku River
The pristine waters of the Taku River run from the Sloko Mountains of British Columbia to the northwest coast of Alaska near Juneau. The river is home to salmon, steelhead, bull trout, Dolly Varden char, rainbow trout, and lake trout, Arctic grayling, whitefish and cutthroat trout. Adding to this incredible bounty are the pungent highbush cranberries that line the banks of the river and thrive in this lush coastal forest.
